Anyway that's my final word on it. Try to play nice before my tongue slips about the time you objected to something on the basis of it being objectionable. ;)

How are they adjusting?

Badly. Yagami is restless and reckless. Violet shows a marked tendency towards depression and self-destruction. Neither of them have been away from their parents before, and it quite shows.

What about your other housemates? You can't be the only adult in the house.

One is a man-child and the other could not care less about the goings-on.

[ he considers that for a moment, then switches to voice. ]

I've talked to both of them over the network, but only briefly. Just how bad is it?

[ initially, he'd assumed it was just the butting of heads, but if it's more serious than that... well. ]

[And he switches over as well. His voice is troubled, his speech unhappily thoughtful.]

It's...quite bad. Ms. Harmon is clearly gone half-mad with the freedom, to say nothing of the grief of being parted from her family. Just a few days after she arrived, she went to Los Angeles to examine whether her family was still there. I gave her money for the trip on the condition that she would use it to make good, safe choices - taking taxis, staying in hotels - and she returned it untouched.

I know you mean well. But you have a way of talking to people that puts them on the defensive, whether they intended to or not.
