We haven't met, but my name is Barnaby Brooks Jr., a registered imPort who lives in Heropa. Recently, I contacted Miles Edgeworth regarding the creation of a fund to assist those who would rather not register. He told me to direct any further questions to you for the time being.

I'm free to talk either around lunchtime or in the evenings. What works best for you?

[ Dammit Edgeworth. His absence means that Phoenix is going to have to actually buckle down and be the responsible one. Which means that he actually responds pretty promptly to Barnaby's message instead of letting it sit in his inbox for an arbitrary amount of time. ]

You can give me a call at my office at the Public Defender's Office around noon tomorrow. The extension is 176.

[ The good thing about your boss being out of the office is that you get to decide your own hours, including lunch and many breaks. And he's decided that it'll be whenever Barnaby calls. ]

It's as good as any. [ He leans back in his chair as he pulls his notes about the fund over. ]

You said you talked to Edgeworth... so what do you already know?

Only that he intends to establish a fund to help unregistered imPorts build a life here without government assistance. I wanted to learn more details, like at what point you intend to launch the project, and how you plan on adding money to the fund. Like I mentioned yesterday, though, he told me to direct any questions to you.

We don't really have a launch date yet, since it's still a work in progress. Money-wise, we have around $26,000 invested in it right now, but that's basically from both of us setting aside a little bit of our paychecks. [ Edgeworth more than Phoenix, since he's also been setting aside some money for his future law agency. ]

Which isn't to say that we're expecting anyone who wants to help to do that, but our main source of money is going to have to be from donations.
